Perkins Family

Beautiful things are happening for our kids and much of the inspiration is from the Perkins Family. Together they are a team of advocates, sharing their journey in the hopes that we may gather the courage they’ve shown to move forward.

A team of three voices, the Perkins family strives toward understanding their dreams and persevering in them. They are beacon of strength that lights the way and paves our path toward effective intervention. They have stood together as a voice in the media, in support groups and in their school districts. They share information through their website and through a Special Education Parent Group. Most importantly, they are a strong family unit always willing to offer a much-needed smile or word of encouragement.

Through their example and honesty, we have learned to never give up. To always know that our children are capable. No matter the mountains they may face, they continue to open their hearts and their journey to others. They share what they’ve learned and what they have yet to learn. They are the first to remind us that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. They are the first to help families find their way there.

The Perkins family has carried the torch in an effort to understand the benefits of behavior-based teaching. They have been a vocal reminder that behavior based teaching works at any age. Parents who have lost hope need only to listen to Taylor’s beautiful story to know that miracles are possible at any age. They have been proud supporters of FEAT of CNY almost since its inception. They have willingly offered any help in making support for parents available. They are cherished members.

Thank you Mark and Dee, for being a strong support team for each other. By doing so, your family has been able to achieve great things for our community. By doing so, you have provided our community with a beacon of hope.

Together the Perkins family has shown that one family can help a community simply by following their heart. It is our blessing that their heart led them to our children.
