Gail Fitzpatrick

Lots of people work with our extraordinary kids, but few create magic with them like Gail Fitzpatrick. She combines complete confidence in our children’s ability to learn with compassion for their unique journey. Her work makes clear how capable she understands our children to be. She sets the bar high for them and consistently challenges what we think we might know about our kids.

She is an advocate for them and a voice when they cannot be. She is well focused on creating miracles. For Gail, it is not about career or politics. She does everything for the sake of our children. To watch Gail is to understand how people work when love is in their hearts.

Her creativity in designing unique activities to keep our children engaged is one of her many talents. She leads the FEAT of CNY monthly social skills group. Each month she devotes planning time to developing a social skill building experience that incorporates each individual child. She refuses any kind of compensation as a thank you for her time or supplies.

Her activities are so fun and interesting that one visit is generally all it takes for our kids to remember the playgroup and to want to go back. Each month Gail is also careful to remember our extraordinary siblings. She is conscientious enough of their journey to ensure that their needs are included in the activity planning.

Gail also works with many FEAT of CNY children directly. The feedback is always overwhelmingly positive. She is supportive, knowledgeable, and understanding. Most importantly, she succeeds in getting our children to accomplish major milestones to the joy and relief of our wonderful families.

At the end of this all, what we collectively want for our children is for them to achieve their very best. What we love about Gail is her definition of our children’s best is always a little higher, a little better and with magical results.
